RESIDENTIAL CARE

Coming to Uralba as a Resident.
All admissions to Uralba Hostel must be approved by the Aged
Care Assessment Team (ACAT), prior to admission.

Uralba Management can assist you with contact numbers if necessary.
If you wish to be placed on our waiting list, it is possible to do so without ACAT assessment. Assessment can be done closer to admission.

 

Residential respite care is available to provide short term Hostel care for people who have been assessed by the Aged Care Assessment Team prior to admission.

 

Respite care includes.

Care relief on a planned or emergency basis.

Carer’s illness.
Short-term inability of a person to care for themselves.

CARE SERVICES

Although our residents are encouraged to maintain as much independence as possible, our qualified personal care assistants will be there to help the resident if necessary  with:

· Showering.

· Toileting and the management of toilet aids.

· Dressing and personal hygiene.

· Mobilization and mobility aids.

· Supervision of medication (oral and topical) and dressings as may be ordered by the resident’s medical officer.
